AudioSense Hearing, Balance & Concussion Featured on CityTV's The Marc and Mandy Show, Bringing Audiological Awareness to Canadian Living Rooms
Hearing health is not just about turning up the volume. It is about how the brain processes sound, and that is where audiological care can genuinely change someone’s life.” — Salima Jiwani, Ph.D., Founder, Director and Lead Audiologist, AudioSense

AudioSense Hearing, Balance & Concussion, a specialized audiology clinic serving patients across the Greater Toronto Area, was recently featured on The Marc and Mandy Show on CityTV in Season 43, Episode 3. The episode, which aired on March 21, 2026, explored meaningful ways to approach the spring season with clarity, balance, and intention – themes that resonated naturally with AudioSense’s patient-centered philosophy of holistic hearing and wellness care.

The Marc and Mandy Show is a beloved Canadian lifestyle program following married multicultural hosting duo Marc and Mandy as they cover home décor, food, entertainment, and wellness topics with warmth, humor, and genuine relatability. Airing every Saturday on CityTV and, according to the show’s official channels, on Global TV and NTV nationwide, the show reaches a broad and engaged Canadian audience that values practical, real-life guidance on living and feeling well.

During the feature, Lead Audiologist and Founder Salima Jiwani highlighted the advanced clinical services that set AudioSense apart from standard hearing clinics. “At AudioSense we perform advanced testing such as auditory processing assessment, tinnitus evaluation, and hyperacusis management,” said Jiwani during the segment. “These are critical tests that people require to keep their hearing health in check. This is where the value is of working with an audiologist who can look at the whole picture.”

That whole-picture approach is at the heart of what AudioSense has built across its two Greater Toronto Area locations. Hearing loss is one of the most underestimated health challenges in Canada today. It develops gradually, it is invisible to others, and it is routinely dismissed until it begins to affect relationships, work, and overall quality of life. Research consistently links untreated hearing difficulties to cognitive decline, social isolation, depression, poor balance, and reduced emotional well-being. AudioSense exists to change that pattern by making expert, evidence-based audiological care accessible, welcoming, and deeply personal.

Salima Jiwani, Ph.D., M.Sc., H.B.A., Reg. CASLPO, founded AudioSense with a commitment to elevating the standard of hearing care in Canada. She earned her Ph.D. in Auditory Neurophysiology and Cochlear Implants from SickKids Hospital and the University of Toronto, is a Past-President of the Canadian Academy of Audiology, and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto. Her clinical interests span hearing loss, auditory processing difficulties, sound sensitivities, and post-concussion auditory deficits – areas where specialist expertise makes a measurable difference to patient outcomes.

AudioSense operates two locations across the GTA. The Yorkville clinic in Toronto has served patients for nearly a decade, offering the community-rooted, boutique clinical experience that has become the hallmark of the AudioSense brand. The newly opened Unionville clinic at 151 Main Street in Markham brings the same standard of care to one of the GTA’s most charming neighbourhoods, recognized by many as the real-life inspiration for the fictional Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls. Together, the two locations serve patients of all ages with comprehensive hearing evaluations, pediatric hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations and fittings, custom earplugs, balance assessments, post-concussion auditory assessments and treatments, auditory processing disorder testing, tinnitus management, and hyperacusis management.

Same week appointments are available at both locations. Patients can book online at audiosense.ca or contact the clinic directly at (416) 901-4770, or (905) 946-9664, or [email protected]. They can also book directly online at audiosense.ca.
