High-Efficiency Casing Production Line Successfully Commissioned
Focused on demanding oil and gas applications, the production line integrates several process improvements in critical manufacturing stages, including thread preparation and pipe-end forming. The project reflects TAKELO’s long-term commitment to providing customized processing solutions for pipe manufacturers seeking higher production stability, improved product consistency, and better control of key dimensional requirements.
One of the central machines in the line is the 60.3–340 pipe-end Swaging Machine, developed for steel pipes ranging from 60.3 mm to 340 mm in diameter. The equipment is designed to support casing production across multiple specifications while maintaining stable forming performance during continuous operation. Through optimized hydraulic control and forming structure design, the machine provides accurate pipe-end reduction performance for demanding threading applications.
A major technical focus of the project was the integration of a special-thread pipe-end swaging process developed for premium connection applications in the Oil And Gas Industry. In downhole environments, casing connections are exposed to high pressure, complex loads, and strict sealing requirements. The dimensional accuracy and forming quality of the threaded area therefore play a critical role in overall connection reliability.
To address these requirements, TAKELO incorporated a specialized swaging solution into the production line to improve the forming quality of threaded pipe ends before threading operations. The process helps create more stable material deformation in the connection area, improving thread profile consistency and increasing thread production yield. At the same time, the forming method contributes to better control of the pipe inner diameter, helping manufacturers maintain qualification rates for internal bore dimensions during production.
These improvements directly support the operational reliability of casing strings used in oil and gas wells. By enhancing thread quality and dimensional consistency at the pipe-end forming stage, the production line helps reduce potential connection risks during field installation and improves sealing performance under demanding operating conditions.
The successful commissioning of the Core 340 production line further demonstrates TAKELO’s capability in customized OCTG equipment development.
