The Tomato Shack Anniversary Celebration Honors Conshohocken First Responders
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – Aug 17, 2026 – The Tomato Shack has been making pizza and salads from scratch since 2003, and this summer the Conshohocken shop is spending its anniversary on the people who keep the town running instead of on itself. The 2 Harry Street location is hosting a community day for Conshohocken’s first responders, scheduled for the same weekend as the town’s July fireworks and 5K. Police, fire, and EMS crews will eat free that day. A slice of everything the register takes in goes back to local responder programs. It’s a reason to stop by that has nothing to do with a coupon.
The anniversary is really just an excuse. The day is about the firefighters, police officers, and EMS responders who work the same streets the restaurant has served for many years. Anyone searching for pizza in Conshohocken, PA, on a fireworks weekend knows how packed the area gets, and those are the weekends when first responders pull their longest shifts. The Tomato Shack figured the best way to mark the milestone was to feed the crews who barely get a sit-down meal during a holiday rush, then throw the doors open to every regular who has come through over the years.
“We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time now, and the police and fire crews around here have had our back the whole way,” a Tomato Shack representative said. “An anniversary seemed like the right moment to return the favor a little. Any responder who comes in wearing the uniform that day eats on us, and a cut of everything we ring up goes straight to local first-responder programs. The fireworks and the 5K already pull the whole town out, so folding our own party into that weekend just made sense to us.”
There’s nothing complicated about showing up that day. Order at the counter the way you always do, the full menu will be available, and a handful of anniversary specials will be tacked on for the occasion. Responders in uniform or showing a department ID don’t pay. If you’re coming off the 5K course or claiming a fireworks spot early, grab pizzas, salads, soups, and panini to go. Departments that can’t pull people off shift can order catering trays and have them dropped at the station instead.
The full schedule, the specials list, and details on how departments can set up station drop-offs will be posted on the restaurant’s pages closer to the weekend. Anyone who wants in can watch for it there, or just walk into the Conshohocken shop while the celebration’s going on.
