HOUSTON, TX – September 11, 2026 – What if the one thing you used to be mocked for turns out to be your own superpower? This is the interesting query posed by the recently published children’s storybook, “Sneezy Bees” by author Matt Trousdale, coming to bookstores around the globe on October 01, 2026.

While there are many books today which revolve around fitting in and hiding away the odd things about ourselves, “Sneezy Bees” offers a completely unique twist to the narrative. Instead of asking its audience of children to disguise themselves, it teaches an important lesson about being proud of what makes us unique.

MEET SNEEZY: A HERO WITH A BUZZ

On the surface, Sneezy Bees appears to be nothing more than your average happy-go-lucky young girl. She is full of curiosity and dreams of the day she will have friends who will join her on her adventures. However, there is one unique difference that separates Sneezy from all the other children in the village.

Each time Sneezy sneezes, and she does it quite often, there is a burst of bees coming into the air with a resounding “AAAHHCHOOOW!”. It is definitely an unusual condition that is out of Sneezy’s control. This condition, however, has become a source of alienation among children. They run away from her in horror; the shopkeeper has to lock her store when Sneezy comes close to the pepper; and Sneezy has to get used to living in her own world.

The thing that makes Sneezy so special is the fact that she is a true adventurer. Loneliness only spurs her on and gives her the strength to discover the Magical Forest.

BOO: THE BEAR WHO SAW THE MAGIC

Every hero needs a sidekick, and Sneezy finds her in the most unexpected way. But deep into the woods, inside an almost-black cave, their lives a bear called Boo. Big, loud, and scary at first glance, Boo turns out to be the sweetest creature in all of Sneezy’s experiences. He isn’t afraid of her bees. On the contrary, he loves them dearly.

What makes him love them? Simple: Bees produce Boo’s favorite thing in the whole wide world, honey. The most sticky, tasty, golden thing one could imagine. Boo has dreamed about this deliciousness all his life.

What happens next? Their meeting is nothing short of magical. When Sneezy sneezes because she’s scared of being eaten, Boo is overjoyed. Someone who understands the importance of her bees and values them is finally here.

FROM LONELINESS TO LEADERSHIP

Sneezy Bees is a story that is not only fun and engaging to read, but also very emotionally moving. The transformation of the shy girl who was used to watching children playing and socializing while she sat apart into a confident young businesswoman with her very own stall is heart-warming and highly gratifying.

The key element happens when Sneezy and Boo come up with a brilliant idea. If Sneezy’s sneezing attracts bees, and bees produce honey, then why not build a honey-based business? So, they spend days gathering flowers, establishing bee colonies inside hollow trees, and obtaining the most heavenly honey in the entire village.

One of the best scenes in the book is when Sneezy sets up her stall, a little frightened yet excited about the future. Then Mrs. Bunns, a nice old shop owner, tastes her honey and says that it is the most incredible treat she has ever had. The villagers soon realize that there is nothing better than Sneezy’s honey.

But the real victory comes much later. As Sneezy sneezes in front of the villagers, she prepares herself for the worst. She prepares herself for screaming. She prepares herself for running. But none of this happens because the villagers now know that bees are not frightening. Bees make wonderful things. And therefore, so do the sneezes of Sneezy.

It’s an incredibly touching scene that will leave readers smiling.

A MODERN FABLE FOR TODAY’S CHILDREN

At a time when kids are under more pressure than ever before to blend in, the Sneezy Bees story is a refreshing reminder of the fact that being unique is actually something to be proud of. Here are a lot of difficult notions discussed in a way that kids are able to grasp and relate to.

Community is another notion that the author has managed to touch in the Sneezy Bees story. It is not only about Sneezy’s success; it is the success of Boo, of Mrs. Bunn and even of all the villagers who purchase her honey. This hidden meaning of the importance of connection is what makes Sneezy Bees so appealing.

Parents would love the values instilled in the little readers by the book. Teachers would find it a valuable addition to the lessons on diversity and inclusion. Children would be charmed by the cute characters and their stories.
