Rodriguez will present her approach to emotional health in leadership before a live global audience, describing emotional wellness as a practical leadership skill rather than a personal weakness.
ORLANDO, FL – Maribel Rodriguez, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and retired U.S. Air Force combat veteran, will take the stage at the Leadership Experience Tour on August 6–8, 2026, to introduce Growth & Leadership Experiences, the leadership development platform of Maribel Sharing Hope, before a live global audience. The appearance marks the first time she will present this work on a public stage of this scale.
Her focus is on a subject that has drawn wider attention in recent years: the emotional and mental health of the people who lead organizations. Conversations about burnout, stress, and exhaustion among leaders and professionals have grown across many industries. Rodriguez says that many leaders perform well and appear strong in public, while privately carrying fatigue, pressure, or a sense of isolation.
Maribel Sharing Hope is designed to help leaders address that experience. According to Rodriguez, the platform draws on emotional intelligence, leadership development, and clinical practice, and aims to give leaders and organizations practical tools they can apply in everyday work. Rather than offering quick fixes, she describes her approach as one focused on steady, workable change.
“Emotional health is not a soft skill. In my view, it is an essential leadership skill,” Rodriguez said. “A leader who ignores it does not automatically become stronger. The purpose of this platform is to give leaders a healthier way to carry responsibility, and to make asking for support feel normal rather than shameful.”
Rodriguez notes that many workplaces still treat mental fitness as optional, even while they invest in physical health and professional training. She believes emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy relationships deserve the same attention, and her platform is built around that idea.
Maribel notes that many workplaces still treat mental fitness as optional, even while they invest heavily in physical health and professional training. She believes emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy relationships deserve the same attention, and her signature framework, the 4 Pillars of Resilient Leadership (Clarity & Presence, Emotional Mastery, Resilience Under Pressure, and Communication & Boundaries), is built around that idea.
Her perspective is shaped by more than three decades of work across very different settings. Rodriguez has served as a decorated military leader, supervised and developed clinicians, led corporate teams, counseled individuals and families, and built businesses. She says this range led her to a consistent observation: success alone does not always create fulfillment, titles do not always remove loneliness, and achievement does not always guarantee emotional well-being – it begins with how a person leads themselves.
“No matter the setting, a boardroom, a counseling office, or a military unit, people are still people,” Rodriguez said. “They want to be seen, understood, and equipped to thrive. My hope is that leaders leave knowing they are not alone in what they carry.” And there is a way to increase their capacity and their health!
The Leadership Experience Tour brings together speakers and attendees from business, education, the military, and community organizations. For Rodriguez, the event represents a step from private practice toward a wider audience, as she shares a message she has developed over the course of her career.
She adds that her goal is not perfection. Instead, she hopes to encourage leaders and organizations to view emotional wellness as part of how they lead, and to treat seeking support as a sign of strength rather than weakness.
“We were not created just to survive,” “We were created to heal, grow, lead, and thrive from wholeness”
