Local Hobby Shop Sees $5,000 Revenue Boost After Adding Pokémon Card Vending Machine
MIAMI, FL – July 25th, 2026 – A hobby and collectibles shop in MIAMI, FL, reports an additional $5,000 in monthly revenue after installing a Pokémon trading card vending machine supplied by VMFS USA, a Miami-based commercial vending machine provider.
Note: The store’s name and exact location are being withheld at the owner’s request to protect their privacy.
The store had struggled with a familiar problem in 2026’s trading card market: shelves selling out within hours of new stock, frustrated walk-in customers, and no way to sell products outside business hours. After adding a VMFS TCG vending machine near the store’s entrance, Mike, owner of the store, says the shift was immediate.
“We were losing sales every time we closed the doors,” said Mike. “Now the machine is selling packs at 2 a.m. to people who saw it through the window. It’s not replacing our staff, it’s capturing revenue we were leaving on the table.”
The machine, which uses elevator-style delivery to protect high-value packs and graded slabs, allows the store to restock less frequently while still meeting demand from the current Pokémon 30th-anniversary surge — a period that has seen trading card spending jump sharply nationwide.
“Trading card vending isn’t a novelty anymore, it’s a real revenue channel,” said Jose Perez, CEO at VMFS USA. “Stores are seeing measurable lift because the machine sells during hours a staffed counter simply can’t.”
VMFS USA supplies commercial vending machines, including trading card, snack, and specialty vending solutions, to retailers, offices, and public venues nationwide.
