As the furnaces system installation progresses smoothly, the project has entered a new stage. The engineering team for Honor Metal’s 12-15T/H 2-Roller Copper CCR has arrived at the customer’s site and is currently carrying out equipment installation and commissioning.

The project is progressing smoothly with strong support from the customer. The customer has prepared various tools and necessary conditions for installation. In addition to technical cooperation, the customer has also provided great support for the engineers’ daily life, including improving their meals during the installation period. The successful progress of the project is the result of the joint efforts of both teams.

Advanced Copper Rod Continuous Casting and Rolling Solution

Honor Metal 12-15T/H 2-Roller Copper CCRis a dedicated continuous casting and rolling system designed for producing Φ8mm Copper Rods.

When equipped with a shaft furnace system, the equipment uses first-grade cathodes copper plate or first-grade scrap copper as the main raw material. Through continuous casting and continuous rolling technology, the system provides stable and efficient copper Rod Production.

The complete production process includes:

First-grade cathodes copper plate or first-grade scrap copper → shaft furnace → holding furnace → launder → tundish → five-wheel Continuous Casting Machine → front traction device → rolling shear machine → straightening and chamfering machine → feeding device → two-roller continuous rolling machine → copper rod reduction and cooling system → waxing device → rear traction device → hydraulic coiling and take-up device → hydraulic baler

The complete production line integrates melting, holding, casting, rolling, cooling, coiling, and packing processes, achieving continuous and automated Copper Rod production.

Five-Wheel Continuous Casting Technology Ensures Stable Quality

The continuous casting machine adopts a five-wheel structure. The steel belt and copper casting wheel with trapezoidal grooves form a continuously operating closed casting cavity, enabling stable and continuous casting of molten copper.

This casting structure provides excellent operational stability and reliable casting quality, creating a high-quality foundation for the following rolling process.

Twelve-Stand Two-Roller Rolling System Improves Production Efficiency

The 12-15T/H 2-Roller Copper CCR adopts a 12-stand pure two-roller continuous rolling structure.

The 12 two-roller stands are arranged horizontally and vertically in a cross layout. The exposed roller design allows convenient maintenance, while the rolling process operates in a fully enclosed condition. In case of equipment failure, the rolling mill safety cover can be opened by electric control for easy adjustment and maintenance.

The roller center distance is adjusted through a worm gear mechanism driving the eccentric sleeve rotation, ensuring precise adjustment and stable operation.

Intelligent Control System Ensures Stable Operation

To improve automation performance, Honor Metal 12-15T/H 2-Roller Copper CCR is equipped with a Siemens control system, including Siemens PLC, touch screen, and frequency converters for the main production units such as the casting machine, traction machine, rolling shear, feeding machine, take-up, and rolling mill.

The main low-voltage electrical components adopt Schneider brands, and all AC motors are Siemens products, ensuring stable operation, precise control, and reliable long-term production.

At present, Honor Metal engineers are continuing the installation and commissioning of the 12-15T/H 2-Roller Copper CCR at the customer’s site.
