Chicago Home Tutor Launches New Tutoring Packages Ahead of the New School Year
CHICAGO, IL, United States, August 17, 2026 – Chicago Home Tutor has announced new tutoring packages designed to help Chicagoland families begin the 2026–27 school year with a clearer understanding of their children’s academic needs and an appropriately matched educator. The foundation packages bring together an initial assessment, personalized tutor matching, and either three or five one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Available to all Chicagoland families, these foundation packages accommodate different levels of instructional support. Through its individualized Chicago tutoring services, the company matches students seeking general academic help with experienced educators while connecting students with more specialized learning needs to tutors with relevant special education backgrounds and expertise.
As the new school year approaches, families may recognize that a child needs help but remain uncertain about where to begin. Some students need targeted reading, writing, or math support. Others may benefit from help with executive functioning, study habits, or homework routines. Struggling students with learning differences may require an educator with more specialized training and experience.
Chicago Home Tutor developed the foundation packages to give families a structured starting point without placing every learner into the same type of program. The initial assessment will help identify the student’s current skills, strengths, and priority areas. The company will then recommend a tutor based on the student’s academic needs, learning style, personality, schedule, location, and the expertise required.
“Parents often know when their child could benefit from additional support, but deciding what kind of help is appropriate can be difficult,” said Joe Hopper, President of Chicago Home Tutor. “These packages are intended to replace some of that uncertainty with a thoughtful starting process. We first seek to understand the student, then identify an educator with the right background and give the tutoring relationship time to develop through a short series of individualized sessions.”
The foundation packages are differentiated by the level of service and educator specialization required—not simply by the number of tutoring hours purchased.
The company said tutoring rates under the new packages will start at $109 per hour, with rates varying according to the student’s needs and the level of educator specialization required. Each package will include an initial assessment, personalized tutor matching, and one-on-one tutoring sessions, with savings of up to 20% depending on the option selected.
Package recommendations will depend on the support the student requires and tutor availability in the family’s area. These five-session packages give the tutor and student sufficient time to establish routines, begin addressing priority skills, and evaluate how the instructional match is working.
Although each package provides a defined starting structure, the tutoring itself will remain individualized. A student working with a reading tutor may focus on decoding, fluency, comprehension, or written response. Math tutoring might concentrate on foundational concepts, problem-solving, or current coursework. Students needing specialized support may receive instruction adapted to their learning profiles and academic goals.
Upon completion of the introductory package, families seamlessly transition to Chicago Home Tutor’s flexible hourly programs. Since families are only billed for the services needed, they can take as little or much time as needed to reach their goals, while avoiding being locked in to long term commitments. Scheduled sessions can be changed or canceled up to 24 hours prior with no charges or cancellation fees.
The company focuses on in-home tutoring across Chicago and its suburbs, but they also have online options available for families who are interested. These foundation packages will be offered for in-home tutoring as well as online tutoring. Enrollment is expected to open on August 20, 2026 through their website wherein families can express their interest by filling out the “Free Consultation” form available.
