Acclaimed Film and Television Talent Join the Cast for a Powerful Exploration of Faith, Leadership and the Truth Behind the Pulpit

ATLANTA, United States – Aug 22, 2026 – Award-winning playwright Dr. Letitia Scott Jackson brings Pulpit Pimping to Atlanta for a one-night-only stage production on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM EST at the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center at Morehouse College.

A gripping exploration of power, faith, deception, redemption and the hidden realities behind the pulpit, Pulpit Pimping takes audiences beyond the public image of church leadership and into the complicated human stories that can exist behind respected positions of spiritual authority.

The production brings together accomplished talent from television, film and theater, including a special celebrity guest appearance by comedian, actor, television host and radio personality Rodney Perry as Deacon Noah Good. With a career spanning decades across television, film, radio and stand-up comedy, Perry brings his signature presence to the Atlanta production.

Acclaimed filmmaker, actor and television director Javon Johnson directs the production. Johnson’s credits include The Oval, American Soul and The Lincoln Lawyer, along with numerous other film and television projects. Known for his compelling storytelling both in front of and behind the camera, Johnson brings a dynamic creative vision to the stage.

Jarric Tucker stars as Pastor Leon LoeDown, alongside Danielle Jackson as First Lady Linda LoeDown, a woman forced to navigate faith, family and difficult truths. Jackson is also the mother of acclaimed actor Myles Truitt.

Written by Dr. Letitia Scott Jackson, Pulpit Pimping boldly examines church leadership, spiritual accountability and the human struggles that can exist behind respected public personas. Through drama, truth and reflection, the production invites audiences to look beyond titles and appearances and consider what happens when faith, influence and human imperfection collide.

Dr. Letitia Scott Jackson is a playwright, author, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and founder of Keeping Families Connected, a nonprofit organization she established in 2015 to strengthen families and support communities impacted by incarceration. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Jackson has expanded her work into theater, using storytelling to explore faith, culture, accountability, and the complexities of the human experience.
