Bigme Wins the “E-Paper 80 FPS Innovative Application Pioneer Award”, Highlighting Its Technical Strength in High-Refresh E Ink Displays
Recently, the E-Paper Industry Alliance presented Bigme with the “E-Paper 80 FPS Innovative Application Pioneer Award”, recognizing its progress in ultra-high refresh rate e-paper technology. The award reflects industry recognition of Bigme’s technical direction and marks another step forward for e-paper displays in more dynamic use cases.
E Ink displays work very differently from LCD screens. Their ink particles move under an electric field, and this physical process naturally limits refresh speed. In traditional e-paper technology, every increase in frame rate creates new challenges for ghosting control and image clarity, making 80 FPS a highly demanding target.
After years of development, Bigme’s R&D team has improved refresh performance through self-developed low-level driving algorithms and intelligent dynamic ghosting reduction. While maintaining image quality, Bigme has raised refresh performance from 30FPS to 80FPS through extensive waveform tuning and pixel-level ghosting control. This award recognizes Bigme’s continued technical work in this field.
