Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness has relocated from Hubbard to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and will hold a public open house and ribbon cutting on September 30, 2026. The practice offers hypnosis services and state-registered hypnosis training.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — September 15, 2026 — Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness has relocated to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, moving from Hubbard to 205 Portage Trail Ext W, Suite A. The practice will mark the move with a public open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. Eastern. The relocation shifts the practice from Youngstown area in northeast Ohio into the more densely populated Akron area. The organization’s hypnosis training school is relocating to the same address.

The Cuyahoga Falls suite includes three treatment rooms and a conference room, a layout similar to the practice’s previous location. Owner Shannon Keyes Ciucevich began looking for a new space in 2023 and signed for the Portage Trail building this year. The practice operated in Hubbard from 2019 until 2026, after Keyes Ciucevich relocated to Ohio from the Albany, New York, area in 2016. The Hubbard office has closed, and Cuyahoga Falls will be the practice’s only physical location. Online sessions remain available.

The September 30 open house runs from 4 to 6 p.m., with the ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m. The program includes refreshments, music, hypnosis demonstrations and a chair yoga demonstration led by Keyes Ciucevich. Community members, current and prospective clients, business owners, and wellness professionals are invited. A monthly group success class for existing clients follows from 7 to 8 p.m., offered in person and online.

Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness offers individual hypnosis sessions, hypnosis training, mentorship, yoga and meditation. The practice does not take on every inquiry. Prospective clients are first offered a screening appointment of 30 to 45 minutes, at no charge. Keyes Ciucevich provides the screening to determine whether the person’s situation is one with which she works and whether to accept them as a client. Keyes Ciucevich said the largest share of her client work involves weight loss, stress, and tobacco or nicotine habits. Appointments are generally scheduled evenings and weekends, and the practice answers its phone from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“People do not have to keep struggling,” said Shannon Keyes Ciucevich, owner of Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness. “What clients are really doing is clearing the obstacles in front of them. They tap into their own resources and learn to make change effective, and even fun. The most common thing I hear after a first session is that they cannot believe they did not try it sooner.”

Keyes Ciucevich said her work addresses stress and the habits and reactions clients want to change, and that she refers medical questions to a client’s physician. “I tell clients I work with stress,” she said. “If you are under a doctor’s care, your doctor needs to know what is changing.”

The organization also operates Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness School, which has been registered with the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools since 2022 under registration number 2222. The board lists two active programs at the school, a Basic Certificate Program and an Advanced Certificate Program, for people pursuing professional certification and for those studying out of personal interest. Registration required bonding, documentation and an appearance before the board. Keyes Ciucevich also mentors practicing hypnotists as continuing education for those already certified.

Graduates have gone on to open practices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and New York. Students have included professionals adding a skill to an existing practice and others preparing for a career change ahead of retirement. Among them is Joshua Lisec, an Ohio ghostwriter who completed hypnosis training at the school and applies hypnosis techniques to his book work, an approach he calls hypnowriting.

“Students tell me the training changed their lives,” Keyes Ciucevich said. “They come away with tools to handle their own challenges, and several have gone on to make a living with it. That was the reason for building a registered school rather than only seeing clients.”

Keyes Ciucevich is a certified hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists, certified in 2008, and was certified as a hypnosis instructor by the guild in 2015. She was certified as a hypnosis trainer by the Master Hypnotist Society in March 2017. She is a Yoga Alliance experienced registered teacher at the 500-hour level, with additional registrations in prenatal and chair yoga, and is a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider. She began practicing yoga and energy work professionally in 2003 and founded the business in 2008 in the Albany, New York, area under the name Key 2 Joy Hypnosis & Yoga.

Before entering the field, she worked as a certified public accountant in financial services, a background she says draws business clients who want to work with someone who understands their world. She started the New York business through an entrepreneur assistance program run with the Albany-area chamber of commerce, which helped her secure her first commercial lease. The practice is a member of the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

David Ciucevich, Jr., a certified hypnotist, certified Brainspotting consultant, and sound healing practitioner, also sees clients at the practice and online. Ohio Valley Hypnosis & Wellness serves the Akron area and northeast Ohio and continues to work with clients outside the region by video.
