From June 15 to 18, the “Jilin Realm of Harmony” Light and Shadow Co-Creation Event, organized by Jilin University, was officially launched. An international youth camp, comprising participants from Pakistan, Canada, Russia, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries, together with their Chinese counterparts, embarked on an immersive fieldwork program focused on photography and borderland exploration along the Jilin section of G331 National Highway, visiting Ji’an, Linjiang, and other destinations. The event featured “road diaries,” short videos, and multilingual visual creations, aiming to capture the magnificent landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the border region through the unique perspectives of international youth, and to tell vivid stories of mutual learning, exchange, and win-win cooperation among civilizations.<\/p>\n
The event centered on three major themes of “Humanities,” “Nature,” and “Collaboration.” The youth camp visited the Ji’an Morning Market, strolled along the banks of the Yalu River, and explored the Ji’an Museum to gain insight into the history and culture of the ancient Koguryo kingdom. They wandered through Wunyu Peaks National Forest Park and the scenic areas around Linjiang, appreciating the ecological panorama of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature. They also explored the Tomb of King Jangsu and the Stele of King Haotaiwang, and ascended Wandu Mountain City for filming, building a bridge connecting historical memory with contemporary expression.<\/p>\n
This event is not merely a collaborative visual creation undertaken in the spirit of harmonious coexistence, but also an invitation composed in light and shadow. Jilin University warmly welcome friends from across the globe to explore the Jilin section of G331—to admire its magnificent landscapes, to experience the vibrant life and culture of its border communities, to behold the ecological panorama where all things thrive in harmony, and to listen to the millennia\u2011old echoes of the World Cultural Heritage sites.
