Kharis Publishing today released Hannah’s Heart Awakens<\/em> by Shaunta Scott, a faith-based picture book written for exactly that moment.<\/p>\n

The story follows seven-year-old Hannah through a summer at her Aunt Grace’s home in Georgia — a house full of laughter, music, and prayer. Watching a simple Bible cartoon about Jesus healing a blind man, Hannah feels something stir. What starts as an ordinary afternoon becomes a sacred one. She invites Jesus into her heart and finds a peace she didn’t know she was missing.<\/p>\n

“I wanted to write the kind of story that gives a family permission to slow down,” said Scott, a mother and storyteller from Daytona Beach. “God still speaks to little hearts. Sometimes the grown-ups just need a way to start the conversation.”<\/p>\n

Hannah’s Heart Awakens<\/em> is the opening title in The Hannah Series<\/strong>, Scott’s ongoing collection of stories about hope, healing, and childlike faith. It is written for ages 4–8 but built for reading aloud, which makes it equally at home in a grandparent’s lap, a Sunday school circle, or a Christian preschool classroom.<\/p>\n
