Among 366 campaigns with at least 1,000 DMs, the analysis found a 0.57% median reply rate at the campaign level – but reply rates varied sharply by sending pattern. Users sending from one to three X accounts, typically founders and agencies working their own audience, saw 2.2-2.5% reply rates, while operations sending from 11 or more accounts generated 97.5% of all DM volume at a 0.39% reply rate. Targeting quality separated outcomes more than any other factor measured. These are observational benchmarks, not a promise of results or a causal finding; campaign, audience, message, account, and operational conditions vary.

The edition counts initial messages only; follow-up messages are counted and analyzed separately. The campaign-level median is presented because raw-volume averages can be disproportionately shaped by unusually large sending operations. No individual customer, account, or campaign data is published.

Two additional observations show why the report publishes context rather than a single headline rate. Among roughly 169,000 replied threads that received one message, 42% of replies arrived within 24 hours, 62% within three days, and 22.6% only after a full week. Within the 378 campaigns that enabled follow-before-DM, the sampled leads successfully followed first replied at 1.42% versus 0.35% for leads only DMed. That comparison is correlational, not causal: follow success and lead selection may differ systematically.

The report describes its cohort, attribution, and methodology limitations. A reply is attributed at the thread’s final stage when follow-ups were sent; reply detection is polled rather than measured at minute-level precision. Some enrichment analysis uses sampled joins. Findings are correlations in the stated historical window, not controlled experiments, and should not be generalized beyond the reported cohort.

Read the methodology and full report: https://xreacher.com/benchmarks

Media contact: David, david@xreacher.com

About Xreacher:

Xreacher is social outbound software for X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Telegram.
