The activity, through forms such as collecting and showcasing works, field study tours, and international youth interactive exchanges, focused on children as a unique communication perspective, deeply integrating children’s aesthetic education, cultural and tourism promotion, and international communication, striving to create a cultural communication practice platform that combines contemporary relevance with effective communication.<\/p>\n

Call for submissions and broadcasts to gather children’s perspectives and convey their voices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event is open to children in grades 1-9 across the country and is soliciting short videos promoting tourism in both Chinese and English. Children are encouraged to create their own bilingual short videos and scripts that tell moving stories of Hebei Province, focusing on the province’s unique cultural and tourism resources, such as the Great Wall, the Grand Canal, the Taihang Mountains, intangible cultural heritage, and revolutionary sites.<\/p>\n

Through centralized broadcasts on relevant media platforms, a number of outstanding works have been widely disseminated online, allowing Hebei’s cultural and tourism content, full of childlike perspectives, to break through regional boundaries and build a lightweight and highly approachable content library for external communication, accumulating vivid and lively folk narrative materials for the international communication of Hebei’s cultural and tourism.<\/p>\n

Field study tours solidify the foundation of cultural knowledge for young people<\/strong><\/p>\n

If online collection and broadcasting completed the incubation and cultivation of dissemination content, then on-site study tours have promoted the deepening and solidification of cultural awareness among “little recommenders”.<\/p>\n

From August 14th to 16th, the “Hebei Culture and Tourism Little English Ambassadors” offline study tour was successfully held. The activity organized “little ambassadors” to explore Hebei’s cultural and tourism sites, visiting historical sites, visiting intangible cultural heritage workshops, and enjoying the beautiful landscapes. This transformed historical and cultural knowledge from books into immersive, hands-on experiences, allowing children to become active participants and deep perceivers of culture. The study tour closely aligned with the goals of children’s aesthetic education, cultivating cultural identity and national pride through travel and exploration. It achieved multi-dimensional synergy in aesthetic education, patriotism education, and language practice education, contributing to the comprehensive improvement of children’s overall quality in the new era.<\/p>\n

Through communication and dialogue, a leap in communication identity is achieved.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study tour also established a dialogue platform for face-to-face exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth, helping the “little recommenders” to advance from “online storytelling” to “offline dialogue”.<\/p>\n

This two-way exchange of ideas not only helped international youth truly experience the vibrant and multifaceted landscape of Hebei, opening up grassroots channels for Hebei’s cultural and tourism exchanges with the world, but also helped local youth broaden their global perspectives, master the logic of international discourse, learn to tell their hometown’s stories in a way that is easily understood by the world, and complete their transformation from “cultural learners” to “little ambassadors of cultural dissemination.”<\/p>\n

From online collection and broadcasting to build content momentum, to offline field study tours to solidify cultural foundations, and then to international interactive exchanges to expand the boundaries of communication, the “Hebei Culture and Tourism Little English Ambassador” activity has explored a new composite communication model of “youth + bilingualism + study tours + international exchange”.<\/p>\n
