On September 3, expert leadership coach and author Chrysta Wilson will speak at the Black Women Nonprofit Leaders Forum 2026 event in Alhambra, California. Her session, \u201cBecoming Pressure-Proof: How the Right Conversation Moves You and Your Team Through Change, Uncertainty, and Burnout,\u201d will guide nonprofit leaders in building resilience and sustaining purpose in challenging times.<\/div>\n

Los Angeles, USA – August 29, 2026 –<\/strong> Wilson, Founder and CEO of Wilson and Associates Coaching and Consulting<\/a>, has spent more than 25 years helping organizations strengthen culture, repair conflict, and design systems that support people under pressure. Her framework, featured in her book Pressure-Proof Teams™<\/em>, reframes pressure as a design challenge rather than a personal failure, offering leaders effective tools to keep teams steady when stakes are high.<\/p>\n

The Black Women Nonprofit Leaders Forum, an event by EMPOWHER Institute<\/a>, is a national gathering that brings together women who lead with vision and purpose in the nonprofit sector. It provides a platform for mission-driven leaders to share strategies, build networks, and rise together. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Purpose and Called to Rise,” reflects both the spirit of Black women nonprofit leaders and the urgency of their leadership at this moment in history.<\/p>\n

“The pressure on Black women nonprofit leaders is real and often invisible,” said Chrysta Wilson. “This workshop gives leaders a way to talk about pressure, guide their teams through change, and check in with themselves for burnout makes the decision for them.”<\/p>\n

The workshop, rooted in her Pressure-Proof Teams™ framework, offers a practical approach to three conversations that matter most: naming organizational pressure in ways that fit each audience, talking about change and uncertainty in ways that prepare rather than frighten teams, and having an honest dialogue with yourself about capacity before burnout makes the decision for you.<\/p>\n

Participants will leave with tools they can use immediately. They will learn how to communicate pressure clearly to boards and staff, use storytelling to guide teams through change, and recognize where pressure is building in their own leadership so they can pause, delegate, or redistribute before burnout sets in.<\/p>\n

The Black Women Nonprofit Leaders Forum is about lifting up voices, sharing wisdom, and building strength together. Wilson’s session adds to that by giving leaders tools they can use right away to face pressure with clarity and purpose.<\/p>\n
