Cory Watson Attorneys Welcomes Heather L. Jones as New Associate Attorney

Heather L. Jones brings a deep passion for justice and a strong paralegal background to her role. With seven years of experience in the legal field prior to becoming an attorney, she offers a unique perspective and a well-developed understanding of client needs, case strategy, and compassionate client-advocacy. Driven by a lifelong desire to stand up for others, Heather pursued a legal career to serve as a voice for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves.
In her practice, she is committed to guiding clients through challenging and often overwhelming situations, providing not only skilled legal representation but also personable reassurance and support. “Heather has been an invaluable member of our team for years, and her outstanding work as a paralegal has made her an integral part of what we do here at Cory Watson,” said Stephen Hunt, Principal Attorney at Cory Watson. “Her passion for helping clients and her dedication to justice are exactly what we look for, and we are thrilled to see her bring that same commitment to her new role as an associate attorney.”
A native of Hoover, Alabama, Heather earned her Bachelor of Science from Samford University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law. During her time in law school, she was actively involved in several organizations, including the Judge Hugh Locke Honor Society, the Women’s Association, and the Black Law Students Association. She also distinguished herself academically by earning the highest grade in Constitutional Law.
In addition to her legal work, Heather is actively engaged in her community, contributing her time to local nonprofit organizations. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar and maintains professional affiliations with the Alabama Association for Justice, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Magic City Bar Association. Heather believes every client deserves a dedicated, trustworthy advocate who will fight tirelessly to ensure their voice is heard.
